Knock your words into shape. Everyone needs a heavy-weight in the fight against bad copy.
I’m a writer and an English teacher. Since moving to Austria seven years ago, I’ve used my degree in English and my PGCE English as a solid foundation on which to build an understanding of the English language far deeper than ever it was in the UK. As a part-time senior lecturer at University of Salzburg, I teach advanced writing skills and grammar to teacher trainers and undergrads, which is both a challenge and a delight.
To complement my writing career and to continue developing professionally, I’m working towards a Master’s in professional writing at University College Falmouth and am currently considering my options for specialisation. Unlike many writers, I have no desire to write a novel – if there is a novel in me, it should probably stay there! I far prefer helping others with their words. I’ll probably head down the business and editorial route, but non-fiction writing and scriptwriting are enormously tempting.
I write online and offline and have a strong sense of what works in both platforms. Whether my clients use my words daily or weekly, once a month or once a year, they all keep coming back.
I’m professional, punctual and a bit of a perfectionist, so get in touch if you have anything to be written, rewritten or just jostled into place.
